Speaking

Swapping stories of God’s goodness in life’s hardest places is one of my favorite things to do. Whether in my local church, at a coffee shop with a friend, or at a women’s event, God’s living and active Word comes to life in our shared stories.

I've spoken at ladies' events, youth gatherings, online conferences, podcast interviews and more. I’d love to speak at your Christian women’s event or teen gathering.

With a heart for storytelling, I share biblical truths that grounded my faith when everything was falling apart. We’ll look at biblical accounts of suffering, walk through our hard stories together, and find God meets us in the muck every time. I can simply share my testimony of God's goodness in chronic illness, or I can speak on one of the themes below or tailor the message for your event.

Getting to Know a God Who Knows

How can we take comfort in an all-knowing God? Learning to trust an omniscient God – who intimately and lovingly knows us – can change our daily lives, help us persevere in trials, and guide us to serve others better in crisis. I weave in my testimony of suffering and encourage you from the Word to help you cling to the character of a God Who Knows.

Preparing for Life’s Storms

We think our faith is solid until an unexpected trial derails us. We’re walking faithfully in God’s will when bad news shakes our very foundation. Unprepared and unsure how to navigate the scary unknown, our faith falters. Aligning our thoughts with Scripture, we’ll walk through three practical steps to prepare for life’s storms and emerge with a solid trust in God’s presence and provision.

Legacy Living in the Small Everyday Moments

A difficult diagnosis taught me not sweat the small stuff and embrace the everyday goodness of motherhood and the mundane. We’ll discuss how simple “yeses” can lead us to the richest memories with those we love. Loving and serving others doesn’t have to be burdensome or picture-perfect. This message is for MOMS and MOPS groups, but can be tailored for any event.

Perseverance: Trusting God When Life is Hard

Speaking as a world-class quitter (like my one-practice basketball career!), I’ll share four steps to help us persevere when life gets tough. While not rushing through our pain or grief, we can employ these spiritual disciplines to help us keep going: acceptance, abiding, gratitude, and choosing to simply do the next right thing.

If you’d like to request Erica for your event, please fill out the contact form. You can expect a response within 2-3 days.
